Session #4: End Day Analysis

Prayer Laboratory: End of Day Analysis
Session #4

In Yesterday's lesson, I shared the importance of asking ourselves analytical questions for maintaining God's Power and Quality in our lives daily.

These questions included:

Do We . . .

  1. Take time to hear 'God's Personal Word' for our daily lives?
  2. Take the time to hear and understand the seriousness of 'God's Call' in the ministry, location or vocation that He has called us to do?
  3. Wait on God in our 'Prayer Lab' (or Prayer closet) to maintain throughout the day the Power of the Holy Spirit moving and directing our lives?
End of Day Analysis (EDA)

We can always tell if we 'stayed in step' or 'walked in the Spirit' all day (See Galatians 5:16-18), if our "Evening Daily Analysis" included continuation of prayer, self-control and the desire to 'start all over tomorrow morning' walking with God in continual fellowship.

Continual Fellowship

The continual daily desire to grow in our walk with God by making plans and developing Godly habits is evidence that our spiritual EDA is successful and that we are growingKnowing that we are growing with God, and seeing His change in our lives is good encouragement.

These changes are not 'bragging rights', but real humble acknowledgement that the grace and mercy of God is active and changing our character.

EDA Character checklist

The 'works (or habits) of the flesh' always produces: confusion, worry, fear, complacency, anger, sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy and drunkenness (see Galatians 5:19-21).

The 'fruit (or habit) of the Spirit' always produces: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

By taking our time and allowing the Holy Spirit to set our daily agenda, we will 'hear God's Personal Word, understand God's Calling and will know that without Him we can do nothing (see John 15:5), but with Him we can do everything that He has called us to do.

During today's Prayer Lab EDA, did you?

  1. Hear 'God's mission for today' and saw it fulfilled.
  2. Understood 'God's Call' for ministry, vocation, mission for today.
  3. Increased your time in prayer and felt the Holy Spirit move you in the things that you did for God's purpose and glory.
If you felt that you came up short on your EDA, remember bathe in God's grace tonight and remember tomorrow's another day.

It is my prayer that these Prayer Laboratory Lessons have stirred your faith up and has called you to a whole-heart commitment to God's will.

Amen!
