One Word for TODAY: QUENCH (not)

Good Morning! God Loves YOU!! ❤️👍

Today's One Word Scripture
'Good Morning! God Loves YOU!! ❤️👍

Today's One Word Scripture: ''Do not QUENCH the Spirit. '
I Thessalonians 5:19

A thought to think about:

"Do not 'QUENCH' (or PUT OUT) the Spirit, and respond to the things that are GOOD, because GOD IS GOOD!"

When I hear the word 'QUENCH', I see in my 'minds eye' a 'campfire or a candle' that is just about to burn out or be smothered because of conditions around its flame.

Perhaps the 'campfire or candle' was exposed to water. Or, did 'the flame' lose its fuel source?  In either case, the Apostle Paul through the Holy Spirit tells us "QUENCH not" the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings." (1 Thess. 5:19)

When we begin to doubt God's Word to us, we begin to QUENCH the Spirit in our lives.  We STOP the flow of GOD in our situations, or even in our Church services.

There is a way to properly respond to what the Spirit is doing in our life situations and in our Church services.  And, that way is 'responding' in a way that is 'Good and Pleasing' to the Lord (1 Thess 5:21).

Do you 'feel' that you are being 'QUENCHED' in life??

Begin to 'Fan into flame' your Spirit.  The apostle Paul had to remind Timothy to do this.

Please read and consider:

'For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid (QUENCHED), but (GOD) gives us power, love and self-discipline.' 2 Timothy 1:6-7

When we begin to 'BELIEVE GOD' we begin to 'fan into flame' God's Spirit working in and through us.

Why is it important to 'Fan into Flame' our Spirit?

Because there is a work that God has planned for us to do, and His Plan brings about ....

POWER, LOVE and DISCIPLINE in our lives.

 AMEN.
