Happy New Year 2022!

With 2021, now behind us.  It is time to focus on God's New Year and His Will for us as we enter Year 2022.  

I have chosen Philippians 3:12-16 as a 'focus scripture' for the New Year for my base thoughts.  Please read . . .

'Not that I have already obtained it [this goal of being Christlike] or have already been made perfect, but I actively press on so that I may take hold of that [perfection] for which Christ Jesus took hold of me and made me His own. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. All of us who are mature [pursuing spiritual perfection] should have this attitude. And if in any respect you have a different attitude, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us stay true to what we have already attained. ' Philippians 3:12-16

Opening God's Deliverance 'Gift'!

Dear Friends of LEJ,

On this very 1st day of 2022, we are opening 'God's Deliverance Gift'.  You may ask what is such a gift?

God's Deliverance Gift provides God through the power of the Holy Spirit rescuing us from domination of evil from the devil (our real enemy).  Benefits included in this gift is God rescuing us from bondage, oppression, hardship, and evil's domination.  

In Matthew 6:12 Jesus includes the 'Deliverance Gift' when He teaches us to pray . . . 

' “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors [letting go of both the wrong and the resentment]. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.]’ ' Matthew 6:9-13

When we pray this way, its like 'let it (the problem, oppression, depression, etc) go, and watch God's deliverance flow!'  Always remember, the battle is the Lord's!  We cannot 'fight the battle' because our arms and methods are too shallow to fight an enemy that we can't see, let alone his experience and tactics are foreign to our methods.  It is a 'spiritual battle'.  

Like the Apostle James says, 'resist the devil and he WILL FLEE FROM YOU!!' (see James 4:7).  This 'resisting stance' action and trusting IN THE LORD on our part may take hours, days, weeks or even years . . . but remember the 'Outcome' is complete VICTORY!!!  

Yes, Complete Victory, Stand on the Word of God!
