Target⦾ Focus: God's Gift of Eternal Life!

Happy New Year . . .

It is the 1st Sunday In 2022!!

I don't know about you, but I think that 2021 seemed like one of fastest years I ever lived!

And, it seems like there are no signs of slowing down . . . So, what does this mean?

Time to invest in the Kingdom of God by, 'Studying His Word more, Walking in prayer and in the Holy Spirit at every opportunity.  And, to be not wavering in 'faith' and to be 'steadfast' in the Celestial Journey with the Lord!

The 'Celestial & Eternal Life' Journey

The Gift of Eternal Life

'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. '  John 3:16

Do we fully understand that when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we opened the Door or the Gift of  Eternal Life?

The Word 'Eternal' in the original 'Greek Text' is aionios (pronounced ahee-o-nee-os) which means perpetual, eternal, for ever, and everlasting.  The Greek cross-reference also makes a connection 'since the world began'.

I particularly like the last part of that definition or 'cross-reference' that states that a connection was made like 'since the world began'.  I would like to think and believe that now that we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and our God, we have similar connection to God just like Adam did before the fall or before sin entered the world.

I believe that Jesus came to restore our relationships with God by providing His blood for our sins and shortcomings and THEN God sent the promised of the Holy Spirit so that we now have the POWER and COMMUNICATION LINES OPENED to know God, His WILL, His WAY and His Direction in every situation in life.

ETERNAL LIFE is a PRECIOUS GIFT.  We can't earn it. We can't make it stick.  Only thing we can do is TRUST the LORD and HIS WORD and put one foot in front of the other every day and walk in ETERNAL LIFE by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT.

Eternal Life is Truly the Greatest Gift Ever!  On occasion I will get to see you here on this side of Eternity, but on the 'other side' . . . if I want to spend time with you, we can have fellowship forever with Jesus together.

'Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.' 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Let's keep our 'mind set' on the 'unseen Eternal Things', because those are the things that are permanent!

Amen!
