What's below the surface ...

... shows up in a life.

Good morning!  Happy, blessed Sunday!  It's a great day ... I can tell it already!  Beautiful cool morning!!

Thank you God for such great gifts and great days!

I had 'a thought' this morning about 'Trees'.  We 'only see' the effects of the tree's roots in the summer and fall.

We enjoy their 'plush' green leaves and the beautiful fall foilage colors of gold, brown and red.  But, do we think about what is underground or under the surface??

Before the beauty of the tree is there, the root system of every tree is busy all year long in taking water, nutriments and other minerals to keep it growing.  And, once the tree bears its leaves, the leaves are exchanging carbon dioxide in to oxygen for our air.  Trees to me are great 'air cleaners' and keep us having oxygen to breathe!

What an amazing cycle of life!

We are like the trees.
People see our actions, but do they see our root system??

Where are your roots this morning?  In the Word of God and in prayer?  Are you reaching out to others to encourage them?

You see when we reach out to others, we are like the trees exchanging their problems and cares with the 'breath of life' from our 'root system'.

So then, allow your life to grow deep in God's Word and follow hard after its instructions and watch the change in your life.  Your leaves will be green and whatever you do will prosper!

Ephesians 3:17-19 Living Bible (TLB)

17 And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love; 18-19 and may you be able to feel and understand, as all God’s children should, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is; and to experience this love for yourselves, though it is so great that you will never see the end of it or fully know or understand it. And so at last you will be filled up with God himself.

I Love God's Word!

Such Great food for our souls (our trees!)

Enjoy your Sunday (and all your days!) and let your roots go deep!
