Season of Advent: "The Light Was Good"

 Blessed Monday Morning! 

Let there be Light! 

As we start the 1st week of the Advent season, I think back to the very 1st account of where and when the LIGHT appeared in this World and who was it that created LIGHT.  

The true LIGHT creator is the Creator Himself . . . that is God alone!

God looked out and saw the darkness 'on the face of the deep' (Gen. 1:2).  In His 'GOOD TOOL' Arsenal was the 'LIGHT' tool and the 'LIGHT' was used to extinguishing darkness then.  And, the 'LIGHT' is still used today for extinguishing darkness now in the world and in our lives.  

Thus . . .

"And God saw the 'LIGHT', that it was GOOD (Gen1:4).  

LIGHT births goodness and direction.  

Darkness breeds darkness and hides.

Where is 'darkness' in our world?  

Where is 'darkness' in our lives?  

Where is 'darkness' holding us back?

Why not apply God's 'Good Tool' of 'LIGHT' in those dark situations that we find ourselves in at the moment and apply God's 'LIGHT Saber' . . . 'The Word of God' . . . And God said, "Let there be LIGHT", and the darkness was extinguished!

If we know Jesus, we can come to Him and ask where and how we are to extinguish the 'darkness' in our corner of the world.  Remember this: We can never outrun 'darkness', but we can extinguish darkness by shining out our LIGHT.

Here is my 'Advent Light Challenge' Daily List:

1st. Start my day with a smile (I look 'in the mirror 1st thing' to make sure my light is adjusted right 😉) and to smile at others whom I see throughout the day!

2nd. Share 'Light Scriptures' and special stories with my LEJ Friends.

3rd. Look for sources of 'Light, Joy & Hope' throughout the season (and take pictures when able)!

4th  Give 'Gifts of Light' throughout the Advent season.
