Season of Advent: BREAKING NEWS! 'Darkness Destroyed by Celestial LIGHT Beings!'

 Good Morning!  Happy Friday too!!

I hope that the 'Thanksgiving' Turkey is about gone and the mashed potatoes too!

Eh, the blessings of the Thanksgiving Meal spill over for about a week!  (I think I still see some gravy in our refrigerator though 😉).

I was thinking that if the Newscasters of Jesus' Day would have captured the 'Angels' during Birth of Jesus like some of today's Evening News Programs . . the headlines could have been something like this:

BREAKING NEWS:  The Darkness becomes light 

by celestial beings - angels perhaps?!

BREAK: During the Dark Skies, there was a FLASH!

Our Camera's Caught this image . . . 

We think it is celestial beings, OR ANGELS! 

Here is our account of what happened last night!!

"There were shepherds keeping their normal watch in the nearby fields outside the village of Bethlehem, and out of nowhere a vast number of celestial beings flashed out of the skies, could it be ANGELS?? We interviewed some of the nearby Shepherds who confirmed our report with their sightings!"

NEWSCASTER: "Mr. Joe Shepherd, could you please describe what you saw?!!"

JOE SHEPHERD: "WHOA! IT WAS AN AMAZING SIGHT!! I NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT BEFORE!! LIGHT IN THE SKIES!! YES THEY WERE ANGELS !! A HOST OF THEM!! I COULDN'T COUNT THEM!!!" 

NEWSCASTER: "WOW, WHAT ELSE HAPPENED??!!"

JOE SHEPHERD: "THEY BLASTED OUT A SONG THAT SAID, 'GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST HEAVEN!! AND THEY ALSO SAID "AND PEACE ON EARTH FOR ALL THOSE PLEASING GOD"!!! 

NEWSCASTER: "WOW, THAT'S QUITE AN ACCOUNT OF WHAT HAPPENED!  IT DEFINITLY LINES UP WITH THE PICTURES OUR CAMERAMAN CAUGHT DURING LAST NIGHTS DARKNESS BEING DESTROYED BY THE 'LIGHT BEINGS'.

NEWSCASTER: "THANK YOU JOE SHEPHERD FOR THE ACCOUNT, now it is time for a commercial from your local sponsor".

Yes, the story could have been just like this account above.  Yes, the MOST IMPORTANT EVENT in the HISTORY of MAN with the SON OF GOD being born in Bethlehem centuries ago, the NEWS MEDIA then would have recorded it and then moved on to the next story just like the NEWS MEDIA does today.

After this blessed TOP STORY EVENT, everything else is 'just news' that continues to be the same.  The scriptures record that there is 'nothing new under the sun'.  What has been happening for years, still happens again and again today.  Yes, there were plagues before and they are here again.  There were wars before and they still are here.  There were bad times before and still are happening today.

There are only 4 important NEWS events that we ever need to be mindful of that affects us directly:

1. In the Beginning God created the World and Mankind.
2. Mankind sinned, is separated from God because of his sin.
3. God sent a Savior for our sins, His NAME IS JESUS. (born on Christmas Morning) 
4. ETERNAL LIFE & LIGHT is given to those who accept JESUS as their SAVIOR & LIGHT.

This my friend, is the GOOD NEWS & CHRISTMAS!! Once we receive JESUS as our Savior . . . there is NO OTHER GIFT that satisfies our soul.  And, this gift that you can take with you everywhere you go and even into Eternity's Everlasting Home! (I don't think you can take anything else?!) Faithman 😇

Here is my 'Advent Light Challenge' Daily List:

1st. Start my day with a smile (I look 'in the mirror 1st thing' to make sure my light is adjusted right 😉) and to smile at others whom I see throughout the day!

2nd. Share 'Light Scriptures' and special stories with my LEJ Friends.

3rd. Look for sources of 'Light, Joy & Hope' throughout the season (and take pictures when able)!

4th  Give 'Gifts of Light' throughout the Advent season.
